Terms of Service

Effective June 1, 2026  ยท  Operated by Zach Flanders

These terms govern your use of Ringo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Who can use Ringo

Ringo accounts are for parents and legal guardians only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will use the phone.

Ringo is currently available by invitation only to friends and family of the operator. Access may be extended over time.

What Ringo is

Ringo provides a managed phone service for children, including call filtering, voicemail, and a parent dashboard. It is provided as a best-effort service by a small independent operator, not a commercial entity.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ringo to:

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

Service availability

We aim to keep Ringo running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Phone service depends on third-party carriers (VoIP.ms) and infrastructure outside our direct control. We are not liable for outages caused by third parties.

We may modify or discontinue the service at any time. If we shut down the service, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email so you can retrieve your data.

Emergency calls

Ringo supports 911 calls when E911 has been registered for your household address. It is your responsibility to ensure your E911 address is current and accurate. Ringo is not a replacement for a traditional phone service and should not be your household's only means of reaching emergency services.

Payments

Billing terms, if applicable, will be communicated separately. Current friends-and-family accounts are operated on an informal basis. We reserve the right to introduce pricing in the future with advance notice.

Your data

Your data belongs to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, how we protect it, and how to download or delete it.

No warranty

Ringo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about call quality, uptime, voicemail delivery, or any other aspect of the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zach Flanders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ringo, including but not limited to missed calls, lost voicemails, or service interruptions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
